Exercise in a Group Class
There are amazing benefits to be had from exercising as part of a group – much fun and friendships as well as a bit of craic with your instructor! Again class sizes are limited in order to ensure adequate supervision and correct technique. Many people prefer to attend a class in person as there’s nothing like human interaction. It’s very useful for those who feel they need the guidance and correction from their physiotherapist especially if you are a beginner or have an injury. Classes run in blocks of 8 weeks and you attend the same class each week. There is a level of commitment required as missed classes cannot be carried forward but this is essential to helping you improve your posture and core muscles. Doing this won’t happen overnight and so attendance at a regular class really helps to assist this process. It also enables your physiotherapist to keep a close eye on your progress offering suggestions and advice where necessary. As well as that the sense of care and connection in attending a class is healing in itself.
